Disana wool covers are a long kept secret.
In the pictures above, the top picture is brand new and the bottom picture is the same Disana cover, just felted. Wool keeps the moisture in, yet allows for air to circulate. Since wool is so breathable, this cover is perfect year round, in any climate! Great for overnight! The ideal cover for babies with sensitive skin. Super absorbent knitted organic wool. Wool helps to prevent heat from being trapped against the skin, so diaper rash is usually not an issue.
Another secret to these covers is that the wool is untreated.Which makes it softer than any conventional (sweater type) wool you have touched. These covers will not develop an odor, because untreated wool is resistant to odor and rash causing bacteria! Great for people with sensitivities, even when other wools irritate them.
Disana wool is the finest! Wool products produced by the Disana company in Germany account for 80% of the world's "organic" wool. The quality of the wool is the best by far. The quality of the workmanship and the product is also outstanding. These covers are made of Duoble layer wool for super absorbency and protection.
Now for sizing:
Disana sizes run a little big for what is printed on the label. I think if you do a little web research you will find that to be true on most reviews. You do not need to "buy up" or "buy big" on these covers at all. So make sure to buy true to size. Most sizes will fit for a very long time. In the picture is a brand new un-washed, size 86/92 or 10-18m on a 23 lb fat baby. As you can see he has plenty of growing room. You can felt them for more thickness and water tightness.
They can be folded up or down depending on preference. I like to fold my Disana wool covers, up in the cold months for added warmth. I will then fold them down in warm months and for crawling and on the go babies and toddlers.
Like with cloth diapers you will get the best results with this cover after a few times of wearing it. There is an initial "breaking in period" that comes when you use natural fibers. This usually comes after wearing for a couple of days exclusively or your first hand washing.
Disana has changed the way they label their sizes. They are much more accurate than before. Now you can get them in the sizes below.
